The Ethnographic Section counts about 10 members who started to work with lace and lace manufacturing in the year of 2005. The first aim was to reconstruct the bead for the needs of the KUD “Ključ” Trg. During the technique of knitting knitting, many lace patterns were created that were inserted into the use of objects as souvenirs. The final reconstruction of the jalope was created in 2012.
In addition to maintaining the traditional lace making, producing umbilicus for the needs of KUD, members of the Etnuaf section of KUD “Ključ” Trg are exploring and discovering new possibilities for making and using lace trimmings.
On the proposal of the KUD “Ključ” Trg the traditional way of knitting the leg was recorded on the Croatian Cultural Heritage List of Protected Intangible Cultural Goods in the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia in 2009. After that, we introduce the lace trinket at international festivals in Lepoglava (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), Velenje (Slovenia, 2012) and Pag (2013) as well as on various other events.
In addition to lace making, other types of manual work are also made.
